Baltimore, Maryland (The Day Trip)

Updated: Aug 31, 2019

A quick day trip was all I needed to visit the city of Baltimore, Maryland. This trip was a last minute decision on my part because I was grappling with the idea of visiting or not, but $24 and a 40-minute bus ride later, I arrived in Baltimore.

If you’re like me and like to walk everywhere, then Baltimore is the city for you, everything is close enough where you don’t feel like you’ve been walking forever, but far enough to get a good walk in for your daily exercise.

Fells Point in Baltimore is where I ended up spending most of my time while visiting the city. Unfortunately, I spent to much time walking around and not enough time taking beautiful photos for you to see, so you’re just going to have to take my word for it.

Before this beautiful photo, I stopped at a placed called Thames Oyster Street House, supposed to have the best oysters in town. Of course, I ate everything but oysters. I opted for two items on the list I’ve never had before, lobster mac and cheese and a lobster roll, which I will say, what a very different taste of what I was expecting, but none the less, good.

Afterward, I stopped at Fells Point Creamery, which is a MUST if you’re an ice cream lover like myself. I opted for sprinkles and the cake batter ice cream. (notice how I wrote that,) which was amazing and to die for, I would have it all over again if I could, TODAY.

Overall, the experience was amazing and the city was one to take it, loads of history, great sightseeing looks out points and food. Since it was a quick trip from D.C., I’m sure I’ll visit again and I’ll get to see different parts of the city I didn’t see the first time around.
